However, the ASG denied the information that Said was killed.

Said is one of the suspected leaders allegedly involved in the abduction of Canadians Robert Hall and John Risdel; Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad; and Hall's Filipina girlfriend Maritess Flor from a resort in the Island garden City of Samal last September 2015.

The victims were brought to Sulu. But after the family of the hostage Hall and Ridsdel we’re not able to prove P3000million ranson, the two were beheaded by the ASG separately.
The beheading was immediately condemned by the Canadian government and said that will never provide any ransom money to support the rebel group.

On the other hand, Flor was released last  June 24.

Recently, another hostage was beheaded by the ASG. Their latest victim is an 18-year-old James Almodavar which irked Presidente Duterte and ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) “to destroy the Abu Sayyaf".
