Murray McCully, foreign minister of New Zealand, shared he discussed over the disputed South China Sea with Duterte during an informal meeting, according to a report of ABS-CBN News.

"He's a tough guy but he was warm, courteous and actually quite charming," McCully told the New Zealand Herald after the meeting.

"He doesn't beat around the bush. He has got quite firm views and he expresses them, and very colorfully," he added.
McCully and Duterte had an informal meeting during the latter’s overnight stopover in Auckland, New Zealand, on his way back to the Philippines from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru.

McCully shared that they had a lot of discussion on late Tuesday but refused to give comments when asked about Duterte’s campaign against criminalities.
