Senator Leila De Lima strongly denied accusation thrown to her by her former driver and bodyguard Ronnie Dayan.
“Absolutely untrue.” This was the reaction of De Lima when asked about the revelation made by her former driver.
Ronnie Dayan was arrested in La Union.
The former justice secretary believed that Dayan was forced to lie against her.
“Ronnie’s claim is absolutely untrue. I don’t know Kerwin and neither does Ronnie. He knows that,” she said in a text message to reporters in a report of Inquirer.De Lima admitted that she had a relationship with Dayan.
The former driver and bodyguard also admitted their relationship and said they had seven-year relationship and has lived together.
But the lady senator explained that Dayan was no longer his driver and bodyguard when she supposedly received the illegal money from Espinosa.
“If 2015, hindi ko na tao si Ronnie. So how could I have ordered him to get money from Kerwin? Kaya lang, syempre, and as expected, napilitan na rin si Ronnie magsinungaling,” the senator added.
