Don’t text while driving.
Minutes after texting his girlfriend, an unidentified a motorist was killed in a road accident at Tagaloan, Misamis Oriental.
The man, who was over-speeding according to the witnesses, crashed into a forward truck parked beside the road according to a report on ABS-CBN News.
The victim was not wearing helmet and witnesses believed that he’s intoxicated.
His phone was found in his pocket which showed his last text message to his girlfriend saying:
“Pauli nako, Beh” (Pauwi na ako, beh).The authorities believed that the accident happened because the victim was texting his girlfriend while driving.
The police reminded the public to avoid texting while driving.
The victim was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
According to the certificate of registration of the motorcycle, it was owned by Michael Dahe from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
