Pacquiao's question deserves an honest answer from the Ombudsman.
Senator Manny Pacquiao slams the office of the Ombudsman on its decision to probe Philippine National Police chief General Director Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for the free trip to Las Vegas given by him.
Kailangan maipaliwanag kung saan napunta yung funding ng Yolanda,” Pacquiao said in a report of GMA News.Pacquaio believed that there are more important matters that need investigation than the free trip of Bato particularly the mismanagement of Yolanda rehabilitation funds.
Dela Rosa is under probe for possible violation of Presidential Decree 46, which makes it punishable for public officials and employees to receive gifts on any occasion, and Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao said he will study the law that prohibits public officials from receiving gifts.
He also said that there’s no meaning behind his treatment with Bato since they were friends even before he rose to fame.
