The Ombudsman announced that Dela Rosa and Senator Pacquiao are under investigation for possible violation  on Presidential Decree No. 46, which states that no public officials or government employees are allowed to accept gifts of substantial value.

Dela Rosa further explained:
Basta ako, ang importante, sa aking pananaw, yung imbitasyon ni Senador Pacquiao na tinanggap ko naman, ay hindi po yun in consideration of my position (as the) chief of PNP.
