President Duterte admitted he ordered the reinstatement of CIDG Region 8 head Supt. Marcos.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday, December 2, broke his silence and admitted it was he who spoke to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa to reinstate Supt. Marvin Marcos to monitor the CIDG head's movement.
The President then clarified that he only asked his special assistant Christopher Go to call over the phone.
The moment Dela Rosa answered the call, Go passed on the phone to him.

The transcript of interview with #PresidentDuterte clarifying his earlier statement re: ‘call’ made to PNP Chief Dela Rosa courtesy of Ina Andolong from CNN Philippines was uploaded on Facebook by People's Television Network (PTV).
Here's how it goes.
Ina Andolong: Did you order the reinstatement of Marcos?
PRRD: “Ganito yan, si (SAP) Bong (Go) in-oderan ko - call. By the time pinasa niya, ang sumagot si (PNP Chief Ronald) Dela Rosa. Sabi ko, do not remove the guy because kasali ‘yan sa… I am doing an investigative job. Natapos na ‘yun, si (Chief Supt. Asher) Dolina was cleared. (Supt. Marvin) Marcos, positive. Kasi I was keeping track of his movements. Alisin mo ako doon, mawala bigla ang… Mawala lahat. Hindi ko masundan.”
Ina Andolong: Ano na ngayon gagawin kay Marcos now that you’re saying positive siya?
PRRD: “He has to face the charges. But ngayon, pwede nang… Let him maintain the right to be heard.”
