LOOK: Sasot, Contreras Lambast Inquirer Reporter Who Said #LeniLeaks Won't Prosper

"Kaya kayo pinapakain ng alikabok sa engagements."
Sasot Contreras blast inquirer reporter
Anyone here who have read the Facebook post of Jaymee Gamil, a Philippine Daily Inquirer reporter?

It's about the #LeniLeaks issue. According to her, 'LeniLeaks won't prosper'.

This is why bullshit like LeniLeaks won't prosper. Because online intrigue don't translate well to formal complaints in official fora. Don't agree? Then go ahead and try filing a legal complaint (for treason, was it?) based on supposed screenshots of a defunct Yahoo!Group, captured and circulated on Facebook by someone in Europe. 😂 If you do that, I promise you the Philippine media will cover that, too. Like it did this story.

Pro-tip: Don't bully the media into covering you. If you're not ready to file a complaint, try calling a press conference for your allegations. Most of the time, we just need talking heads. Actual people, not online or distant phantoms, willing to take responsibility for their statements.
However, two avid supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte, Sass Sasot and DLSU Prof Antonio Contreras slammed Gamil for her remarks.

On Sasot's Facebook post with more than 1,000 shares, she said:

Dai, allegation ba iyong you yourself can access online? Ateng, hwag tayong magbolahan, alam nating may abutan ng envelope tuwing may press conference. #mediacorruption is real. Wala kaming pambayad ng pagpapa-press conference. Di kami katulad ni Leni Robredo.

Saka Ma'am Gamil, "obsolete Yahoogroups"? Eh acheng, ginagamit pa nila eh. Magagawa mo? O eto ateng, hindi lang screenshots. Meron tayong tinatawag na archive.is -- alamin mo yan bago ka makalait. Iyan di pa obsolete iyan, very Now iyan acheng. Ito ang archived noong SOCMED Strategy from the OVP as forwarded by Imelda Lewis, a former Chairperson of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.

Contreras, on the other hand, shared Sasot's Facebook post with this message:

Oh, so traditional media still need talking heads?

To traditional media, if you don't think social media people are legit sources of news, then you are still living in the dark ages of journalism.

Pang-award.

Kaya kayo napag-iiwanan. Masyado kayong so full of yourselves.
