Blogger Lectures VP Leni Who Slams #NagaLeaks For Attacking Jesse: You Are Really Shallow

"You are really shallow. You are speaking like a housewife and not as a stateswoman. You have now found a perfect partner to your "damsel in distress" persona and that is " your "defenceless dead husband".

Five days after the trending article of collective.com.ph about former DILG chief Jesse Robredo and Vice-president Leni Robredo, she finally speaks up and slammed the group 'We Are Collective', whose members remain anonymous.

During the “Women Defending Democracy” forum at Miriam College on Wednesday, VP Robredo said:

However, blogger and political analyst Sass Sasot in a Facebook post created an open letter addressed to VP Robredo and said:

Dear VP Leni Robredo:

You are really shallow. You are speaking like a housewife and not as a stateswoman. You have now found a perfect partner to your "damsel in distress" persona and that is " your "defenceless dead husband"

A politician or any public figure is fair game for social criticism - whether they are dead or alive. Yes, Jesse Robredo was your husband, but he remains a public figure. That he's dead doesn't free him from social criticism. If death frees a public figure from social scrutiny, then we would never write history at all. After all, history inevitably deals with the actions taken and not taken by dead decision makers.

So please, spare us from your Mother Dolorosa moment.
Sasot's Facebook followers agreed with her post and shared same sentiments over VP Robredo's statement.

That didn't stop her from screaming na hukayin si Marcos did it? Marcos is as dead as her husband. Or respect is exclusively theirs to enjoy? -Cris Santos
it may be quite timely to remind her exactly of who was it that she wanted to dig up from the grave.

Like a thief in the night, diba? Kainin nya sinabi nya. -Ryan Jay Cua
Watched the news, she was talking in the "women defend democracy" event. I thought she'd finally answer the allegations but no. She sounded like noynoy. She only addressed it as paninira lang. Pero di ba, let's say na paninira nga yun, mas madali namang sagutin yun. Just like how mam Gina Lopez answered the allegations regarding the issues sa family business nila. -Donna Grimaldo
In less than an hour after Sasot posted her open letter to VP Robredo, it already generated more than 400 shares and 3,800 different reactions from the netizens.
