On Friday, House of Representatives Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said he was studying the possibility of filing an impeachment complaint against Vice-president Leni Robredo for "betrayal of public trust" for sending a video message to the United Nations (UN) criticizing the administration’s war on drugs.
When asked to comment if there is a chance that the Vice-president will be impeached by the House of Representatives, Senate President Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III said in an interview over radio DzBB on Sunday:

According to Sen. Pimentel, an impeachment complaint needs only at least 100 votes of House members and Speaker Alvarez has the solid support of at least 230 congressmen, GMA News reported.
'Pag ginamit ang imagination sa political, kung si Speaker Alvarez ang magli-lead [ng impeachment laban kay Robredo], ilan ang followers niyan? Two hundred thirty. However, he declined to comment on the possible grounds for VP Robredo's impeachment.
