WATCH: Comelec Chair Andy Bautista Speaks Up, Reacts on his Wife's Corruption Claims

On Monday, August 7, the wife of COMELEC chair Andres Bautista exposed the unexplained wealth of her husband. In a video uploaded by Inquirer on their YouTube channel, Patricia Paz 'Tish' Bautista, Andres wife, said she submitted last week, August 1st, to the National Bureau of Investigation an affidavit, saying that the Comelec chief might have amassed nearly P1 billion worth of ill-gotten wealth.

However, the Comelec chair denied wife's allegations.

In an interview on ABS-CBN News, he said there is no truth to these allegations. According to him, he's been told that there's a political agenda behind these moves.

They were estranged for about 4 years now said there is a third party on her side.

- Bautista: I am speaking to my lawyers and in close contact with family members, both on my side and her side.
- Bautista: I am a victim of betrayal. I never knew a man could be a victim of rape.
