WATCH: PNP and AFP Walks Out on Alleged PR Activity of COMELEC Chair Bautista

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on Friday launched the 1st Malolos Election Congress in Malolos, Bulacan to discuss issues in Barangay and SK Elections. But it looks like the activity became a rally to show the support of Comelec employees throughout Region III for COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista.
GMA News reported that there are employees who are wearing t-shirts who have printed "We Support Chair Andy", with flaglets and streamers.

There were also employees and local government officials who read their statement of support to the COMELEC Chairman.

A priest also pray over Bautista before the event starts.

However, the Bulacan Provincial Director Senior Police Chief Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr. and other Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) officials walked out due to the alleged PR activity of the COMELEC Chairman.

Chairman Bautista was accused by wife, Patricia, that he amassed about P1 billion worth of unexplained wealth.

Patricia said the proof she has against her husband include bank and property documents as well as several passbooks under Bautista's name.

The wife claimed that the property and bank accounts were not declared by the poll chief in his 2016 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth. Bautista only declared a net worth of P176.3 million in his SALN.
