Scout Ranger's advice to CBCP after denying they're not plotting against Duterte

Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Public Affairs Committee executive secretary Fr. Jerome Secillano said the Catholic Church is not plotting to destabilize the government and the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a radio interview, Secillano told GMA News,

There are killings everywhere, so we need to do something about that.

Secillano's comments comes after President Duterte last October 13, threatened to declare a revolutionary government, accusing his critics of "destabilization" attempts.

Meanwhile, former scout ranger Abe Purugganan on Facebook, gave an advice to the 'spiritual leaders' on the said issue.

He said,

The battle is not yours. As spiritual leaders you don't wrestle against flesh and blood. Let the authorities do their job. Just pray mightily for them. Not on the streets nor on the media but in the church or in your secret place. Get out of the political limelight.
