However, a sarcastic Facebook post from social media influencer Krizette Chu went viral as she thanked Roxas for the very kind words of commemoration and sympathy to mark the 4th anniversary of the Yolanda tragedy.

The country on November 8, commemorates the 4th anniversary of Super Typhoon Yolanda, MalacaƱang has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rebuild communities affected by the disaster amid continued cries for shelter among victims.

November 2013, Yolanda swept across the Philippines and left a path of destruction on several islands. The strong typhoon makes a landfall at Tacloban City, destroying homes and structures and killing thousands of local residents.

The rehabilitation of the affected communities has been slow and the past administration was widely criticized for its perceived inefficiency, Manila Times reported.
